Finding Free Employment
Free opportunities for a data entry position are plentiful. Working online increases your risk for being taken advantage of. However, there are avenues you can take that may lead you closer to a legitimate offer. Here are just a few resources to guide you in the direction you need to go to find a legitimate data entry job:
Work at Home Websites
These sites will screen jobs; however, they will not guarantee jobs are legitimate. They claim that even they can be fooled, as well, so it is always important to research any company on your own. Also, take precautions at all times. You should never ever have to pay for a job of any kind, including online data entry jobs. All data entry jobs should be free if they are real. You will also find many different tips on being successful at working from home. Here are a few websites to check out:
  • WAHM (Work at Home Moms)
  • WorkPlaceLikeHome
  • Whydowork
  • HBWM (Home Based Working Moms)
Classifieds or Job Search Sites
These sites are where employers go to post positions. However, not all employers will actually post the position. Many employers are using these sites to search for data entry clerks based on their resumes and profiles. This is why you should not only search for jobs on these sites, but you should post your resume and create a profile that highlights your skills. Be careful when actually searching for jobs even on these sites, as con artists know you will be searching here and will post scam jobs, as well. Some of the more popular classified or job search sites are:
  • Monster.com
  • Indeed.com
  • USA.gov
  • CareerBuilder.com
  • Dice.com
  • HotJobs.Yahoo.com
Freelance Sites
Freelance sites are a great place to find free online data entry jobs. Registration with these sites is free. These sites are great because the majority of the jobs are legitimate. This is because many of the sites will request the money upfront that is due to you for work. You will not get it until the work is complete; however, you can do the work knowing the money is being held by a 3rd party. You will have to pay a small percentage to the site only when you are paid. For most, this is a small price to pay for legitimate and possibly ongoing work. Free data entry jobs are available. You just have to know where to look!
