Thus, you need to proceed with caution when trying to earn some extra money online. Here are three legitimate ways to make money free online:
1. Start your own website or blog: This sounds difficult but is actually easier than ever. For around $10 dollars you can buy a domain name, download a free Word Press theme and you're on your way. If you find a popular niche and attract subscribers the money will follow. By simply adding Google's AdSense to your blog you can easily make $100 a month or more. Some people even make a living off their AdSense revenues. If you think small and remain patient generating income from you site or blog will happen. Don't try to create a site that will make millions in year one or you will end up frustrated and defeated. Pick a niche that you are knowledgeable about and write unique content. Soon people will be linking to you and talking about you online. It should take off from there.
2. Sell Items on Ebay: There's still quite a bit of money to be made on Ebay if you know what you are doing. The best way to make money selling online is by becoming an expert in one or two collectible niches (i.e. vintage guitars, baseball cards, etc.). Once you know what you are looking for and what sells well on Ebay scour your city for garage sales and find things to re-sell online. You can also look locally on Craig's List to see if you can buy something locally with re-sale value. Often times you can pick up good deals and re-sell them on Ebay for twice what you paid for them. 3. Use Craig's List "Etc" Section: Craig's List has a great category under their job listings entitled "Etc". This is where people post temporary moneymaking opportunities. Search this category everyday to see what's out there in your community. Often you will see postings from people asking for help moving furniture for a few hours or research companies looking for people to participate in focus groups. These jobs are usually one-time offers that pay well and require minimal time investment.
